How do we get started?
First, book a discovery call to discuss your situation and learn whether we may be a good fit to work together.
We will discuss mediation, collaborative practice, and negotiation to determine what works best for you.
If we decide we will work well together, we will design a process and budget to suits your needs.
Domestic Contracts
Marriage Contracts
Whether you like it or not, marriage is a legally binding contract, except the terms are written for you by the government and the courts.
A Marriage Contract lets you and your partner decide the terms yourselves. You can sign the contract before you get married (a pre-nup) or after you are already married (a post-nup).
Cohabitation Agreements
If you live with your partner long enough you can become “spouses” or common-law partners. This is not the same as getting married, but many of the same laws still apply.
A Cohabitation Agreement is like a marriage contract for couples that are not married. It can turn into a Marriage Contract if you want.
Separation Agreements
When you agree to the terms of your separation or divorce, you and your spouse can put it all in writing.
How can we help?
A collaborative lawyer can help you negotiate the terms of your domestic contracts. We provide the guidance and direction needed so you can make up your mind and decide what is best for you and your family.
We then write or edit the agreement to make sure that they are legally binding and that your wishes are taken care of.
